I am a fourth year university student currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at QUT- with a particular interest in mathematics and physical education. I have always wanted to be a teacher and am lucky enough to have a brother in first grade at West End State School- giving me someone to practice on! I have previous teaching experience at Brisbane Boys College (Year 3), Buranda State School (Prep/year 1), Somerville House (Year 4), and Silverton Elementary/Middle School (in Colorado, Prep-year 9). I enjoy being in the mountains, travelling, sport (skiing, rowing, netball, and swimming), studying snow science (avalanches), and photography.
For the past three summers I have left sunny Brisbane and gone over to beautiful (and freezing!) Silverton, Colorado and volunteered at Silverton Elementary and Middle School’s (years 1-9) and Silverton Family Learning Centre (Pre-school/prep) helping out with tutoring, math club, classroom work, and assisting in coaching the schools ski program.
Silverton, Colorado, USA -one of my favourite places in the world (and yes... that is the whole town!)
Here are some pictures I have taken on my many hiking adventures.
